The Hair Fellas brand was established in 2013, after a young Ottawa barber set out to recreate the feel of a traditional barbershop with a modern day approach. He opened his first location on Wellington West, in the vibrant Hintonburg area. After five years and the opening of two new locations, one in the downtown core on Slater and another in Kanata North, the vision has remained the same— to provide every man with guaranteed satisfaction in a comfortable and classic barbershop setting. Hair Fellas specializes in a variety of Gentleman’s cuts, beard trims and shaves. We also stock mens styling and grooming products including Clubmen, American Crew and Lucky Tiger.

Meet the Hairfellas family, a team of eclectic, talented and high-skilled barbers. Expanding across all of our locations, we aspire to provide consistent customer satisfaction through quality service and memorable experiences.

Students will notice the difference the minute they walk in the door. Hairfellas School of Barbers is a structured academic based program. Traditionally what was found in Ottawa was what is called "in house" training meaning students were trained to work specifically for that barbershop. Often times those environments were made to feel "pressured" or "trapped". Where we differ is that once our students have successfully completed the curriculum they have the freedom to apply and work wherever they choose. We find this method a much better environment for learning. We are training barbers for the better of the trade and not just for our advantage. For details about our program please read below.

Program Overview

Learn to become a professional Barber at Hairfellas School of Barbers. With each Module you will learn the skills to develop your techniques and be confident in the Art of Barbering.

No previous experience necessary.

Tuition: Total program cost is $2250 +tax (payment plan available) with a minimum deposit of $1000 to secure a seat which is included in the overall tuition and not separate.

Please note that tuition does not include tools or supplies. It is the student's responsibility to purchase tools and supplies. An enrolment deposit of $1000 must be received up enrolment. Full tuition is to be paid in full before mid-course. No refund on any payments.

Tools: not included, but recommendations available. Only clippers and scissors needed. All other supplies are provided by the school (Capes, combs, brushes, blades, etc.

Weekly: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (10am - 4pm)

Certification: Final written exam and 4 certificates (Each module) of completion after 2 months.
